Hansons Windows – Customer Satisfaction

Mr. Elias,

We have just had your windows installed in our home. Jason was our salesman, Nicole was our project manager and Charles B. was our Crew chief.  They all did an awesome job with keeping us informed and explaining the windows we chose.  We will highly recommend your company to our friends.  Every one has been very professional and polite to us.
Thank you,
Elwood & Beverly P. – Battle Creek, Michigan

Dear Hansons,

Just a few words to let you know how much I like my Hansons windows that you put on my entire house. One of them shattered and I called the office to let you know. A week later someone arrived at my home to measure my window and said that Hansons would call me to set a date and time when they could come out and repair it. Dennis showed up right on time, put in the window and didn’t make a mess. The next day I got a follow up call from your office to check to see if everything went ok.

I would recommend Hansons to anyone who needs new windows for their home.

Thanks!

Eleanor P. – Mt Clemens

Hansons Windows, Roofing, Gutters

Dear Brian,
You’ve got a good bunch of folks working for you. Nicole C.  did a wonderful job as project manager! Of course the products speak for themselves but I’ve just got to say how impressed I was with the installers and installation. Both the roofing team and window guys were awesome. They were prompt, NEAT and very professional. I can’t remember all of their names but they did a great job taking care not to damage my vegetable garden. The work performed was perfect. It was worth the 3 hour sales pitch – even though my wife’s eyes were somewhat glazed over! At any rate, we will continue to look to Hansons for our window treatment (s) sometime next year. Please distribute this email and my sincere appreciation to all for a job well done. I am also very pleased that I will not have to climb on my new roof this fall, thanks to the Hansons Gutter Guards we purchased as well!
Thanks,
Reed S. – Novi, Michigan

Hansons Siding – Customer Satisfaction

Dear Mr. Elias,

We never knew what was involved in siding. We had 3 other companies at our home before Hansons and we thought that all we had to do was pick a color. That’s what all the other companies told us. Boy were we surprised when Tim from Hansons arrived at our home.

Tim took his time and showed us everything involved from getting the house ready – to the finishing touches. He also showed us the difference in the quality of siding. We learned more in that one night than with the other companies combined.

Doing the job right cost a little more but it was certainly worth it. Nobody even talked to us about house wrap and how to protect it under the siding. Not only does our house look great, and we know it is going to last.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hansons Windows – Customer Satisfaction

Dear Hansons Windows,

My wife and I want to let you know how pleased we are with the Hansons team. We were in desperate need for new windows in our home. We spoke with Lisa and she quickly had an appointment scheduled. The gentleman that came educated us about Hansons windows, took the necessary information and gave a us a quote that we couldn’t pass up. We received a call to explain the windows had been ordered and approximately when they would arrive. Then the office called to set up a service call. All work was quickly and professionally completed.

We are very pleased with Hansons products and the staff is terrific!

Thank you,

Hansons Windows and Roofing – Customer Satisfaction

Dear Mr. Elias,

On May 2, 2009 my husband Ken and I had the pleasure of dealing with one of your salesmen, Erik F. in the purchase of a new roof and front window. I am writing this letter to praise this employee for a job well done! Over the years we have purchased cars, windows, appliances, furniture, etc and never have we run across a salesperson that we felt deserved a letter of recognition….until NOW! Erik was at our house for about 3 hours that day, giving us a full description and explanation of the products and services of Hansons.

In our situation, the roof is missing shingles and deteriorating from every rainstorm that hits and the front window is basically a large airhole that is not very functional or safe for our children – in terms of glass. Instead of feeling pressured with some sales pitch like we have in dealing with other guys, Erik treated us more like “family” and worked with us when it came to negotiating prices. We were very happy with the outcome of this whole process and really enjoyed working with him. My father used to be a salesperson, so I know first hand what it takes to be a good one and because of that, I really made Erik work for this sale!:) That being said, Erik should be commended for not only the way he treats potential customers, but for also the way he represents Hansons. He definitely gives your company a GOOD name!

In the future, we will need other services from Hansons (garage roof, siding, door-wall) and because we liked Erik so much – we would request that we have him again!

I dont know of too many people that can say they “enjoyed” having a salesperson over… but we can honestly tell you, WE DID! Congratulations for picking a great person to work for your company and we can only hope that Erik will continue to work there and help other potential customers in the future.

Thanks again for the GREAT service!

Sincerely,
Tracy and Ken F. – St. Claire Shores, Michigan

I just ordered a roof from you and I just wanted to tell you that I was only planing on getting a one year estimate due to the economy. But your saleman Mark K. gave me such great information on your products, and guarantee that I went forward and bought your roof. He did a fantastic job!

Take care

Hansons Windows Customer Satisfaction

Dear Hansons Windows:

Recently I had all of the windows and a doorwall replaced in my home by your company. From the salesman to the project manager to the installer I received nothing but professional service.

I was surprised that only one installer, Tom was sent to do the entire house. However, he did an excellent and professional job. I was amazed that it only took him 9 hours from start until final clean-up.
The project manager, Nichole, called three times during the installation to see how things were going and answer the questions that I had.

I would recommend your conmpany to anyone who is thinking of duing any home improvements.

Again, thanks for a job well done.

John J. – Brighton, Mi

Hansons Windows Customer Satisfaction

Dear Hansons Windows,

We just recently had replacement windows throughout our house. 10 windows, 2 sliding glass doors, and a storm door. I have a one and two year old and they were great with them. They had the windows out in no time so the kids were’t trying to climb out the open area. They even closed the gates behind them so the kids didnt get to the stairs. they left no mess in the house while or after they were working, and outdoors was completely cleaned up. They answered all questions I had about the windows and even saved the sliding doors for a friend of mine. I was suprised how quickly the job was done and was very satisfied with the windows and installation process. One request.. you need to invent fingerproof windows for us moms of sticky fingered toddlers:) That would be great!

Thanks Again!

Tax Credits Available For Home Improvement Energy-Efficient Products

By KAREN WORKMAN of the Oakland Press

A new federal tax credit for energy-efficient home improvements could put an extra $1,500 in homeowners’ pockets come tax time next year, but buyers should beware — not every green gadget under the sun qualifies.

How does it work?
The new tax credit is actually an expansion of tax credits first enacted by former President George W. Bush. The old rules allowed taxpayers to receive 10 percent of the price of certain energy-efficient products, up to a lifetime maximum of $500. President Barack Obama expanded the credit with the recently enacted American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Now, consumers can get 30 percent of the price of certain energy-efficient items back at tax time, up to a lifetime maximum of $1,500.

Another change is that for big ticket items, such as wind turbines and solar water heaters, the $1,500 cap does not apply, and people can instead get back 30 percent of the total cost — materials and installation — through 2016. Credits for smaller-ticket items, such as windows, doors and roofs, can be claimed during both 2009 and 2010, and only 30 percent of the cost of materials — not installation — can be claimed.

What qualifies?
Federal guidelines list 15 energy-efficient household items that qualify for the credit. Insulation, windows, doors, roofs and central air conditioners are among the items on the list, but each product has to meet specific guidelines in order to count.

“We offer energy-efficient roofing that you can get a tax credit on, as well as blown insulation,” said Brian Elias of 1-800-Hansons, an Oakland County-based window company that also offers roofing and other home improvement services. “The guidelines for roofing are very stringent.” The law states that eligible roofs are either metal or made of reflective asphalt shingles, which are made of lighter colors. To be even more specific, it also states that roofs qualify “only if such roof has appropriate pigmented coatings or cooling granules.”

As of June 1, the specifications for windows and doors that qualify also became much tougher to meet.

Windows and Doors
Under the old guidelines, a greater variety of doors and windows met the standard for the tax credit.Consumers needed a manufacturer’s certification letter or Energy Star label that showed it met the criteria. A safe harbor provision allowed the more lax guidelines to stay in place through June 1. That was when the criteria became more specific and much tougher to meet. In order for a door or window to qualify, both the U factor and the solar heat gain coefficient must be 0.30 or less. The U factor measures the rate of heat transfer, and the solar heat gain coefficient tells how well the product blocks heat caused by sunlight. The lower each number is, the better the product performs.

Though recent TV commercials have shown several companies advertising all their windows as qualifying for the tax credit, those statements likely will change as the rules change. Less-efficient windows that don’t qualify will continue to be offered through 1-800-Hansons. The company carries two lines of windows — I-Q Glass and the Ultimate Package — that qualify for the credit.“You have to buy energy-efficient windows, and the problem in our industry is everybody says windows are energy efficient, but the government didn’t qualify certain windows for a reason,” Elias said. “The problem for the consumer is they all look alike.” The bottom line for the consumer? Know what makes a product qualify and be sure that’s what is being purchased.
